Terms of Sale and Use

These terms cover buying and using MacModes, a Mac app made by Gustavo Ganem in El Salvador. By installing or buying MacModes, you agree to them.

Who sells MacModes

Orders are processed by our online reseller Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record for every order. Lemon Squeezy handles payment, sales tax, VAT, receipts and refunds, and its own buyer terms apply to the purchase itself.

Free trial

You can use every feature free for 7 days. No payment details are needed for the trial. After 7 days, MacModes asks for a license key to keep switching modes.

Your license

• One purchase is a personal license for MacModes, for use on up to 2 Macs that you own or use.
• It's a one-time payment, not a subscription. Updates to MacModes version 1 are included.
• Please don't share, sell or publish your license key, and don't modify MacModes or work around its license check.
• MacModes is licensed to you, not sold: the app and its code remain ours.

Requirements

MacModes needs macOS 26 Tahoe or later on a Mac with Apple silicon. Some features need permissions you can grant or decline in System Settings, such as Accessibility.

What MacModes does to your apps

When you switch modes, MacModes can quit, pause, hide and open the apps you chose. It quits apps the normal way, so an app with unsaved work still asks you first. Please save your work before switching, and keep backups of anything important.

No warranty

MacModes is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't promise it will be free of errors or work with every app. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about MacModes is limited to the amount you paid for it.

Refunds

You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase. See the refund policy.

Privacy

MacModes keeps your modes and layouts on your Mac. See the privacy policy.

Changes

If these terms change, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date. The terms that applied when you bought keep applying to that purchase.
